The wayward spirit of the millennial has been captured by Airbnb and companies like it. These short-term rentals are designed to appease the travel bug without straining the wallet. Airbnb itself was born of a couple mattresses on the floor and quickly grew to a booming multi-billion dollar company. Short term rentals boast to not only save travelers money, but also boost local economies. States like New Jersey disagree and argue that companies like Airbnb actually detract from local real estate markets and overlook important health standards that mainstream hotel services are required to adhere to. We gathered the arguments, now we’d like you to decide.
